The port leans Mediterranean, Italian and Asian fusion and proper Thai cooking, the kind that uses the right pastes, the right aromatics and doesn’t cut corners on spice, is harder to find. Naga has been quietly doing its thing opposite El Corte Inglés for years. The duck curry is the one everyone talks about, one reviewer said it made them emotional, which sounds dramatic until you try it. The Panang prawns and red curry are both excellent. Vegetarians eat well here too, which is rarer than it should be in the port. Good portions, fair prices, friendly staff. It’s not flashy. It doesn’t need to be.

If you’re eating with a group and not everyone wants Thai, Chow is the practical answer, the menu covers enough ground that everyone finds something.
